My life in Spain:
--the ongoing challenge to adapt to a new culture (language, customs, lifestyle, world view...);
--the excitement, and sometimes frustration, of observing and participating in a society undergoing dramatic change--not always for the best!--following 40 years of stagnation under a fascist regime;

--the broadened perspective gained by knowing both my birth and adoptive cultures in depth;
--the pleasures of gastronomy, folklore, crafts and traditions that have become belovedly familiar;
--the beauty of the land.
